Listen! Eluvium – Don’t Get Closer

Something new and beautiful from ambient instrumental artist, Eluvium. I discovered Eluvium aka Matthew Cooper when he opened for Explosions in the Sky in Toronto. Since then, I’ve delved into his back catalogue, particularly loving the piano album, An Accidental Memory In Case Of Death.

Eluvium is about to release a double album called Nightmare Ending. Our first taste of it is a very good one. The track is called Don’t Get Any Closer, which is generally what girls say to me at the end of a date. The slow building track features a looping guitar strum and organ, with a simple lead piano line. Check out the 9 minute build of awesomeness below.
