Listen! The Weeknd – Enemy

It’s not yet the weekend, but that doesn’t mean The Weeknd can’t keep dropping us new tracks. The latest release, following that of Rolling Stone and Wicked Games is Enemy. I see a bit of a theme here – girls are enemies who play wicked games. Okay, maybe I’m taking the song titles at face value only.

We see Abel Tesfaye sampling and referencing the Smiths in his latest track. Enemy is not actually on his upcoming release, Trilogy. I’m so confused – maybe Abel is the Enemy! Not with tracks like this though, sticking to his excellent voice and minimalist sounds. Give it a listen to kick off your weekend a little early.
