Listen! MS MR – Hurricane (Twin Shadow Remix)

Twin Shadow has had a busy year. Besides releasing his fairly good second album, George has remixed a few people. First up was Solange, and now he applies his touch to MS MR.

The original version of Hurricane is pretty good, but how does Twin Shadow’s touch affect the remixed version? It’s a little more haunted at times, a little more weird (see: comical vocal edits and layers near the beginning of the song), and unfortunately not as good as the original. But it’s still listenable, which is always a quality you want in a song. It gets better as it evolves though, and George even busts out a rendition of the chorus near the end.
