At the Drive-In Are Reunited!

In today’s Morning Music Notes, we reported that Mars Volta will be back with a new album this year. It turns out, the At The Drive-In spin-off band will be even busier, as they are back together (via Consequence of Sound). The band tweeted: “ATTENTION ! To whom it may concern: AT THE DRIVE-IN will be breaking their 11 year silence THIS STATION IS …NOW…OPERATIONAL,”

The band split in 2001, with some band members forming The Mars Volta, while others formed Sparta. If you don’t remember At The Drive-In, SHAME ON YOU check out their hit One-Armed Scissor below.

ATDI is also going to be playing at Coachella. I’m sure you’ll have a post up about the lineup soon enough – it is unreal to my mind how stacked it is. It makes sense that they are running it 2 weekends in a row, need to do that to be able to stump the cash for all of the acts.

ps. the side project I couldn’t remember the name of when we conversed last like 4 months ago was ‘the brothers of chico dusty’

Line up is pretty nuts, as always. The bands will have to pull out all the stops for Show #2 to ensure it’s not a repeat of the first weekend
