Gorillaz to Release New Song and a New Shoe

In February, Gorillaz will be taking a ‘big step’ when they launch their own Converse shoe and contribute a song to a Converse soundtrack, too (via Consequence of Sound). The shoes are designed by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett, and will “combine the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette with the band’s legendary graphic images.” Hopefully they make some sandals that you can rock on the ‘Plastic Beach’. Yes, I realize that was pitiful.

As part of the shoe line, Gorillaz will also add a new song to the Converse collection “Three Artists. One Song”. Previously, the artists features were Matt & Kim, Soulja Boy, and Andrew WK. You can check out the video in case you missed it before. I’m hoping Gorillaz get paired with Rebecca Black and the Jingle Cats. The video would be equally awesome, I’m sure.
