It is Noel Gallagher day here in the office. With the announcement of TWO solo albums forthcoming, and having his own press conference, the media and others have been reacting at a furious pace. Here is what we know:

Petehatesmusic.com is an awesome website
Noel Gallagher has formed a new band, called Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

Album #1 will be called Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, and will be released October 17 in the UK

Album #2 will be out in 2012, and will be a collaboration with electronic outfit Amorphous Androgynous, who previously mixed stand out single Falling Down

Album #1 will have 10 tracks, which are listed below.

According to Music Week, Noel Gallagher is set to tour the UK and Ireland this autumn, starting in Dublin on October 23 and taking in gigs at what Gallagher called “all the obvious places: Manchester, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh”. He also revealed that he would play Oasis material at the shows, joking, “I don’t think I would be let out of the venue if I didn’t play the numbers you expect.”

Gigwise says that Noel attributes the Oasis split up to Brother Liam Gallagher wanting to advertise his Pretty Green clothing line during the Oasis tour

Liam Gallagher randomly tweeted SHITBAG after Noel’s press conference (LOVE IT!)

The tracklisting for ‘High Flying Birds’ is:

‘Everybody’s On The Run’
‘Dream On’
‘If I Had A Gun’
‘The Death Of You And Me’
‘(I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine’
‘AKA…What A Life!’
‘Solider Boys And Jesus Freaks’
‘AKA…Broken Arrow’
‘(Stranded On) The Wrong Beach’
‘Stop The Clocks’

Stop the Clocks is an unreleased Oasis song originally poised for release on the Don’t Believe the Truth album. It is also the name of the Best Of collection, but was not featured as a bonus track. You can check out an unofficial video and sample of the track on Youtube, and below (I don’t own the rights, so don’t sue me lawyers – this is my disclaimer!). Additionally, demos have circled this thing called the Internet for the track ‘(I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine’. You can also check it out below, and all the previous disclaimers still apply – I don’t own the rights, I ain’t selling nothing, etc!
